It snowed today.
It drew a veil
between all without
and all within:
a lacey dome
that only light could penetrate.
Cozily sheltered,
bordered by white,
blissfully bounded
on every hand,
content within
its velvety span.
Removing reminders
that may remain
of something outside
this sequestered domain.
Tuck me into
your blanket of fleece;
softly fall, small,
downy peace.
